Desi Murgi Butter Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg desi murgi chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the desi murgi chicken in yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, and salt for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and cook the marinated  desi murgi chicken until it’s done. Remove the  desi murgi chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add tomato puree, cumin powder, and garam masala. Cook until the oil separates.
  4. Add the cooked  desi murgi chicken to the sauce. Stir well.
  5. Add cream and simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
